Some of the games we play

Bad Eggs:-

The object of the game:- to eliminate the boys until only one is left in the game.

Equipment needed:- a ball or two.

A ball or 2 is thrown at the lower part of the legs, the boys try to run and dodge them, if hit below the knee the boy is out and sit on a chair at the side of the room.

Cat and Mouse:-

The object of the game:- for the cat to catch the mouse

Equipment needed:- a canopy/ parachute

All the boys stand around the canopy, one is chosen to be the mouse and one the cat, the others take up the canopy. The mouse then goes underneath and the cat goes on the top. The game starts with the canopy being moved up and down to make wave like movements, the cat then has to locate the mouse who is moving around on his hands and knees underneath, the game ends when the mouse is caught.

you can have two cats and two mice as a alternative.

Running game:-

The object of the game:- to run in a relay as fast as possible.

Equipment needed:- 4 cones per team

Four cones are placed on the floor 1 metre from the back wall then 1 meter apart towards the teams, the race starts with the blow of the whistle, the first boy runs to the cone touches it with his hand, then runs back to the front of the team then back to the next cone etc, them to finish his go runs to the back of his team tagging the next person. the next team member does the same until all have been. The winning team is the first to sit in a neat row, quiet and with arms folded.

Numbers game:-

The object of the game:- for the boys to make a number for card provider.

Equipment needed:- a box of cards with numbers written on then.

A number or sum is called out, the first boy from each team runs to the table which has the cards with the numbers on it, they have to find the correct number and give it to the officer who is at the table, when the correct number is given, the boy returns to his team when all teams have the right answers the game finishes.
